Cabbage Key

Today we enjoyed a boating excursion to Cabbage Key.

Jimmy Buffett, whose song ''Cheeseburger in Paradise'' is said to have been inspired by his many meals at the Cabbage Key Inn in the 1970's. ''He'd sit here all day, and pick at his guitar,'' said Tim Jacobsen, the lodge manager.
The tradition of signing a dollar bill and taping it to the wall dates back MANY years....commercial fisherman used to leave a few dollar bills on the wall to cover their lunch money in case they showed up thirsty and broke.
Peyton and Taylor got a kick out of a dollar that had the PEACE SIGN on it:

We had plenty of dolphins riding our wake. . .
Peyton made a new friend with "fellow 5 year old" Lexi. . .
