Polar Express Day

A fun tradition at Ascension is every year the 1st Graders enjoy "Polar Express Day" when they can come to school in their PJs and enjoy a reading of The Polar Express. Peyton and her doll wore matching nightgowns.

Peyton refused to pose with these performers because she said "Mommy, they are not even famous." Their agent informed me she just sign a deal with T-Pain....but perhaps being an Opening Act for T-Pain still doesn't make them "famous" in Peyton's eyes.

Happy Thanksgiving

I needed some shades to prevent these squinting eyes. . .

Daddy ran with Peyton and Mommy ran with Taylor. They both ran the entire 0.62 mile loop and never walked. Taylor was in hot pursuit of passing other kids she knew in the race. It was so cute watching her and her little legs triple-timing it along the route. As the minutes passed, her nose got redder and redder (43 degrees at 9:15a.m.).

After we won medals at the Turkey Trot race, we received a prize from Mrs. Everding- a TURKEY cookie. Once the girls gobbled up their turkey cookies we headed to Walgreens to buy ingredients to make our own. . .Taylor enjoyed frosting the Oreos.

WE PRODUCED. . . Lots of them:

Kia conducted Scrabble Jr. while we played Scrabble. Scores seemed so low in comparison to Words With Friends.
