EGGsactly Spring

Today Peyton took me to her school for "cooking class" and today's theme was EGGsactly Spring- hence EGGS were the main focus. Together, we made "eggs in a bag" and french toast with the help of Peyton's egg cracking skills. We also made delicious fruit cups using fresh strawberries, bananas and vanilla yogurt. To wash everything down, we blended orange smoothies.

Here is Chef Peyton in action at the griddle:

. . .kind of looks like her Mother years ago at McD's!

Placing the french toast on the plate required complete concentration:

This piece never made it from her spatula to the plate....it dropped right off the grill but Mommy used the infamous "5 second rule" and plopped it on top of the other slice :-)

Here we are enjoying our creations:

Peyton sprinkles some shredded cheese on her scrambled eggs:

After the cooking and eating, the kids finger-painted EGGS. It must be genetic that Peyton had a complete MESS in front of her within minutes of receiving the paint. I was always the messiest kid in art class!

Notice how the other girls' paper eggs were very neat and clean while Peyton's was double-sided paint. . .

We brought home a souvenir chef's hat. One for Colleen. . .

...and one for Taylor:
