Terrific Tuesday

Presenting Brendan the BIONICLE and Taylor the puppy dog:

Today we met cousins Danielle and Rebecca and Auntie Karen at the Transportation Museum. Today Taylor sat solo and really enjoyed the ride:
The whole train craze is growing on little T:
Peyton even sat still for more than 2 minutes for some coloring with her big cousins. . .
. . .Taylor opted for the other end of the table:
Taylor really enjoyed walking right under all the ropes which TRIED to keep children away from the antique cars:
We had an impromptu picnic in our van with the A/C full throttle:

Stardom

Sorry for the lack of Blog entries over the weekend but we were consumed by numerous hours at the pool. If our camera was waterproof, you'd have a ton of great pics but oh well.

Today was day one (of ten) for Peyton's "Musical Kids" Camp. Taylor eagerly awaited the "return of Peyton" when we went to pick her up:

Here is our budding star. Her teacher said "Peyton was a chatterbox but is doing very well with everything. . ." We're puzzled as to why she is such a talker :-) The Camp is for ages 3-5 so she is one of the youngest but seems like she fits right in the mix.

Tonight we FINALLY used our "free happy hour" certificate at Fox & Hound and it was a fun gathering with delicious food. Kit ever rekindled in our world:

Playdate at Lucy's Granny's

Gung Gung babysat Taylor (and her fever) while I took Peyton to see her friend from NYC, Lucy. Lucy's Granny had a wonderful painting activity which was enjoyed by all. The kids painted a playhouse which Lucy & Nora's Daddy's prepped last night. It was constructed from a big chandelier box.

Nora (20 months) is already a focused painter:

Patrick created his very own "masterpiece" on the side wall:

Lucy & Peyton posed for their annual picture. . .

Brendan ensured that the windows still worked properly:

The Park & The Cupcake

We stumbled upon Bierne Park today and the girls thoroughly enjoyed everything, especially the dragon slide.

Peyton is quite the climber and thinks nothing of gravity so Mommy keeps a close tab on her every move:

Mrs. L* had her dream come true....FINALLY getting to experience Jilly's Cupcake Bar:

Peyton & Taylor enjoyed a smoothie while awaiting their lunch:

Bella stopped by for some quality playing with Sandy:

Mamma Mia

After having seen the live musical six times, I can hereby say that the movie version is darn good. So go grab your girlfriends and head to the nearest theatre to see for yourself. . .

Block Party

Our neighbors down the street recently redesigned their backyard and now have a beautiful patio and landscaping. Tonight we celebrated their beautification by having a street party at their home. Picture this: A set of twin girls (age 4), a set of triplet girls (age 5), our two girls, and 10+ other kids between 11 months and 11 years old. WILD!!! Food was delicious, conversation was fun, and we topped it all with homemade ice cream served in my infamous homemade waffle cones.

Brendan & Patrick posed for Auntie Kelly's Blog:

Potsou had a brief conversation with Peyton:

Colleen stayed hydrated by sucking down multiple juice drinks:

Taylor devoured her cone:

K.C.

I just returned from a quick trip (literally gone for 26 hours) to Kansas City for a meeting with my entertaining co-workers. While in town I got to visit Luke and Loren & family. Baby Loren is almost 6 months old and is looking just like a clone of her adorable big brother. DNA is prevalent:
Auntie Kelly showed Luke how to give kisses simultaneously and Loren seemed to enjoy the love:

If only she was not blinking you could see that pretty face perfectly:

This morning's meeting starred our fearless leaders, Ray & Stevie:

#1 cheerleader Ellen:

Snoopy flaunts her very own tiara:

Auntie Nana strikes a pose:

Mamasita surrounded by TROUBLE:

Aunt Bea was today's honoree, celebrating 30+ years with the Bank. Here she is handing me yet another SkippyJon Jones book. When I gave the book to my girls tonight Peyton exclaimed "WOW, another SkippyJon Jones book, Mommy. Mommy, is that one for Taylor?"

I paid Charlene a quick visit after our luncheon:

My very own "PLUG & PLAY" trophy meant the world to Miss PEW:

Miss Stella

This morning the girls attended their first (of three) Saturday morning swim lesson at our city pool. Although Taylor was quite reluctant to get in the water, Peyton was quite the swimmer. Not only did she kick, paddle, and blow bubbles, she even asked the instructor if she could go off the diving board. Moments later, Peyton jumped off the board three times in row. She had special requests that Mommy go off the board and Miss Lindsay (the instructor) too. It was quite a show.

At 11a.m. we arrived at Miss Stella's for a luncheon and pool playdate. Miss Panther brought lunch and we brought the infamous cookies. Taylor and Zach sat peacefully as they ate their lunch:

Jack and Peyton got to sit at their very own kids table:

The Spiderman cookie was devoured but left a bit of a mess on Jack's cute face:

Taylor loved climbing on all the guy's outdoor play equipment:

Miss Stella helped Clark select a cookie:

Taylor discovered how much fun ride-on trains can be as she sat aside Jack on her very own engine:

7/11

We began our day at Creation Station where Peyton dressed up as an airline pilot. . .

. . .and Taylor enjoyed playing with trains and cars while Mrs. L* visited with Miss Linda:

Miss Moshi even joined us for a quick train ride:

In honor of today's date, 7-11 gave away free 7.11 ounce Slurpees. Cheers!

Following Mommy's 11a.m. class at the YMCA, our next destination was Chick Fil-A:

For a free meal, we'll do just about anything. . .I was sporting my homemade "I LOVE COWS" t-shirt, Taylor carried a musical cow and Peyton dressed in a cow costume which scored me $24 worth of food. . .

Once Peyton got beyond her feeling of ownership (it was HER Halloween costume in 2006) we let Taylor dress up in the cow attire:

Potsou and I took Miss Holly out for a LATE NIGHT dinner in honor of her birthday. Prego had plenty of dessert :-)
