NO MORE MULLET

Does this girl look happy or what? She proudly double fists her old & new bunnies. . .

Here is a close-up of the new (left side, fully stuffed) vs. old (no stuffing left inside, tattered and worn):

After naptime we went to Snip Its and Peyton felt a void with Miss Alea no longer there. I must admit Miss Tasha did a great job though:

Miss Tasha even snipped Taylor's "mullet". For some reason both Peyton and Taylor grow mullets! Neither of the girls seem to have hair grow as quickly on the top and sides of their head...resulting in a "mullet look". Today Tasha snipped over 2 inches of "mullet growth" off Taylor's neck. Daddy says "she looks like a boy" but Mommy says "I'd rather put a bow in her boy hair than have people think we are rednecks". . .

Sandy did not get a haircut so Daddy admired her hairdo tonight:

Here is a video of Taylor prancing around in her cousin Colleen's "Squeaker Sneakers" sporting her mullet-free 'do:

SACK RACING "Peyton Style"

Peyton took her pillow out of her pillowcase the other day and used the case as a sack, she hopped along similar to a potato sack racer. I must say she has an interesting way to beat out the competition- while the others are actually HOPPING, Peyton is walking with tiny strides within her sack! Tonight at Schnucks I came across a set of sacks and purchased them in an effort to preserve Peyton's pillowcases! Taylor wanted the yellow one and PEW got the red one.

Sandy goes to "school"

This morning was Sandy's first puppy training class. The class meets for an hour every Saturday at 10a.m. for five consecutive weeks. Sandy has five classmates including a Westie, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a tiny runty looking black & white dog and two chocolate labs. Here is a "let's goto class" pose:

Needless to say she was very social with the other puppies and quite alert but . . .
. . . by the end of class she was a bit exhausted:

After coming home and seeing her two best buddies, she returned to her energetic self. Here is a shot Daddy took of his "4 gals" moments ago:

As the picture shows, we are still on lock-down mode (girls in their PJs at 2p.m.) trying to get everyone TRULY HEALTHY around here.

Happy Birthday Aunt Melissa & Miss Moshi

We've been busy around here battling a bad head cold which Taylor shared with Mommy. . .hence LACK OF BLOG ENTRIES. I could not let the day pass by without a quick salute to the birthday gals :-)

Perhaps I shall post "TAKE TWO" of Peyton's progression with her song "Jeepers Creepers" so stay tuned for upcoming video footage :-)

Presidents' Day

Prior to returning to Little Rock, Auntie Bubbie and Michael dropped by for a quick visit. Taylor had a bit of stranger anxiety but Peyton enjoyed "Bubbie" . . .

. . . and even got her to read Cinderella:

Taylor cheered up once she got some one-on-one time with Sandy:

Peyton is working on a new (but actually quite old) tune "Jeepers Creepers". . . here is "TAKE ONE"

Special Visitor

We were honored to welcome AVID BLOG READER Sharon M* to our home for a visit today. She and Peyton sat at the bar and talked about life. The main focus ended up being a discussion about M&Ms!

Taylor and Miss Moshi looked at PEW with curiosity . . .

Here is the "color discussion" of the M&Ms:

Notice how when Peyton accidentally calls "RED" orange, she simply takes a drink and acts like nobody noticed:

Meanwhile, upstairs Sandy continues to be spoiled with love, affection, plenty of chew toys and this brand new bed:

Creation Station

This morning the girls and I headed to Creation Station for some indoor enjoyment since the high today was 34 degrees. Out of all the fun activities, both Peyton & Taylor preferred playing dress-up. Check out "Fire Chief T-Burn":

...and Postal Worker Pepper":

Okay, this one I call "Supermodel". Although she is not in official "dress up clothing" Taylor is enjoying the mirror like a beauty queen:

Peyton is preparing to BLAST OFF as she dazes off into space during this pose:

Valentine's Day

Our day began with planety of gifts from our kind neighbors, including an entertaining Valentine Puppy:

Around 10:30, we met up with Susie and Jessica at the Magic House for a Members' Valentine gathering. Taylor loved every activity she discovered today. . .she began as a truck drver and evolved into a waterplay expert, waitress, sand sculptress, and dancer.

The event included delicious doughnuts and milk. Jessica posed proudly for the camera as Peyton began to devour her doughnut:

Here is a glimpse of the sisters enjoying the waterplay area. When I finally got Taylor to refrain from DRINKING the water, she was truly able to "PLAY" with everything!

As sson as Daddy got home from work we departed for our special Valentines outing to Chuck E. Cheese. For the first time in a long while, Miss Peyton was not intimidated by Chuck E. Cheese. She not only posed willingly, she also gave him a high-five! Oh...and for the first time ever, Taylor WAS intimidated by the guy. I guess it will be a few months before I will capture a photo of both daughters with Chuck E!

Do you like Peyton's driving abilities?

How about the girls' dance moves? Any potential?

Sandy is settling in

So far so good with Sandy :-) She is really behaving with her new surroundings. This is a picture of her during her typical evening snooze on her favorite floor mat (next to the back door):
Taylor loves to tease Sandy with her favorite bunny. . .
...and in return, Sandy likes to tickle Taylor's toes:

Peyton played dress-up with Minnie (I mean SANDY) Mouse:

Happy Birthday Rebecca!

Our niece Rebecca turned 8 today. We celebrated yesterday at their home with a delicious dinner and plenty of entertainment to wear out Peyton & Taylor :-) Check out this in-action shot of Taylor in their bouncer....can we say "static"?

Peyton helped Danielle & Rebecca with some last minute cake decoration enhancements:

Auntie Karen hooked Taylor up with a counter baby seat. When Peyton saw her sister getting the royal treatment, she insisted that she needed to sit in the counter seat. Since PEW exceeds the weight limit, we compromised and pulled a counter stool up next to Taylor's seat :-)

Uncle Craig wondered what Peyton was thinking as she dazed off prior to singing "Happy Birthday"...$10 says she was contemplating how long she must wait until her birthday reoccurs :

Here are the Wu gals in the bouncer blowing off some energy:

Fieldtrip to K.C.

We left our home at 8:41a.m. Friday and pulled in the driveway with Sandy at 8:41p.m. What a wild 12 hours of fun for us! This morning we drove straight to see Loren & family. She is adorable but pictures make it look huge and she is just a dainty little doll. I somehow managed to get three cousins seated for 3 seconds to pose together. Pictured below are Taylor, Luke & Peyton:

Loren rested peacefully through the older cousins' chaos:

Aunt Bea met us in Odessa to meet and greet the girls and our new puppy:

Taylor's new hobby is taking off her shoes and socks during the roadtrip. Sandy (pardon her weird looking eyes in this pic) stole Peyton's carseat while Peyton was conquering potty training halfway down I-70:

Here's Daddy and his Valentine/Birthday/Easter/Father's Day gift- all rolled in to one ball of love:

SANDY

We are all set to go get Sandy tomorrow. We're picking her up in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Kansas so I am sure when asked where we got the puppy, Peyton will say "We got Sandy at Wal-Mart". Here are a couple recent pics taken of her 5 days ago after all 6 of her siblings were picked up by their new owners.

MITT Day

If you are one of my many dear Democrat friends, feel free to go vommit or ignore these pictures/videos.

Poor Taylor was half asleep when we finally got to the polling place at 1p.m.

Peyton was well atuned as to what our purpose was today. However, she could not understand why her candidate was not there to greet us.

75 degrees today....who knows what tomorrow will bring

Nothing beats the ability to wear shorts and t-shirts while popping wheelies on snow mounds!

The girls are all set for the Primary tomorrow. We love "Underdogs" so Mitt is our man:

GIANTS WIN!

Sorry if you are a Patriots fan but my dream came true tonight as the Giants defeated those Pats and left them with an 18-1 record. Our SuperBowl grid payout was $10 to Peyton (1st quarter), $50 to Taylor (2nd & 3rd quarters) and $40 to Auntie Al (final score). Thank you to all who participated and sorry for your losses.

Look at my second-born, sporting her Arizona Cardinals pride:

Auntie Al enjoyed cuddle time with Disney (Miss Holly's new lab):
Speaking of Miss Holly, here she is enjoying some dessert with me:

Touchas helped Taylor get to the chips and dip:

Here are some Kappa gals:

The 2007 "New Couple of the Year" remains a darling couple:

Julia and Peyton opted to watch a Wiggles DVD during the postgame show:

The newest ballpit is a whale of fun:
The guys are grinning after they witness a historical upset. . .
